Located in North Jakarta, Pantai Indah Kapuk has been widely known for its exclusive and unique place of culinary and tourism. Last January I planned to visit the famous water adventure called Waterbom with my family.. except my dad, because he's rather busy on weekdays. If you want to go visit this place, my tips is to go even earlier than others. I arrived at 11 AM so I didn't have to go queue and just entered the place happily go luckily. The first attraction I tried is The Twizter.

It's the giant saucer-shaped slide and it was freaking addictive! First we glide along the tunnel, swooping in and out quickly spinning along the wall of a giant cup several times and then sucked into the second tunnel and ended up in the pool. Very exciting!
After such times of twizter-ing, I and my younger sisters went for another exciting attractions called HAIRPIN! And yes this was my favorite attraction among all of them!
Using large-sized launcher tube for actually 4 people and we felt like rafting in the air. It's an outdoor water slide shaped hairpin. After the start, the tube will rotate in a circle, slide down along a bumpy track and ends in a pool of water. The bumpy track is actually DA BEST! Here is a pic of me and my sisters captured by my mom.
It's not that scary as well, but it contains loads of craziness to try. After the exciting experience sliding down along loved bumpy track, we decided to let our body move by itself by trying the Wild River. Compared to river pool I tried at Atlantis Water Adventure, Ancol, this river pool is not that awesome because the flow and tide here isn't that challenging. But, yeah, it's okay though.
Next, we slid at the attraction called The Whizzard. It's a twin slide parallel to the tunnel-shaped path, winding once, down bumpy and stopped on the track open. I don't know why but we use a mat as a tool to slide in it. At first I thought it's scary but it turned out fun and have nothing to be scary about either. I and my sisters thought it's definitely for kids, lol.

To satisfy our visit, we don't want to skip any attraction available. Finally we come to the last attraction, definitely also the most challenging one, it's the Speed Slide. *drum rolls*

Speed Slide is the two fastest water slide in Waterbom Jakarta. My youngest sister didn't have the guts to slide in it because she was scared, even after taking lots of convincing. May be another time okay, sis? The first slide in the middle is not that challenging, and I rweallyyyy discourage you to do that sliding. We have to glide along a very loooong tunnel and we can't breathe because there's no oxygen, no light there of course. "Please faster faster faster, I can't breathe, I'm going to die," that was what I thought while I was gliding along that tunnel, so did my sister. Another water slide in the right, it's a very challenging water slide in Waterbom! We can almost see the city from above.

I was afraid at first to try it because it was so scary til you can feel the scariness only by looking at the picture. Because the water slide is almost 90 degree! "I cannot die in the water slide, it's no fun," that's what I say when my sister asked me to join her doing this. But my curiosity exceeds my fear so at last I decided to fill up my curiosity about that challenge, too. My heart was beating faster at the moment. Seconds before sliding I thought about giving up but kept doing it. I kept telling my self to relax, "everything is gonna be okay. Many people succeeds." And then, yes, seconds after, I can see almost every inch of Jakarta. I wonder if the world can be paused at those moment but in fact, my body moves very fast that I can only see the view for about a second and then arrived at the straight track. My younger sister slid down after me and moment after she arrived at straight track, we had a hi-five! It was so fun and satisfying. I would have been dying by curiosity if I decided not to try. I think, that was the feeling of succeeding in something you thought you cannot do.

Oh I almost forget, I also try the kids pool. Because it's fun too... I was reminded of how good the feeling was when we're still kids, lol. It's called boom blazter, the function is similar to what I have tried at Atlantis Water Adventure, Ancol. This is the picture I took before trying the kiddos water slide... and those are my sisters, you see?
What I really like about that day is not only the fun things we do, it's with whom you do those fun things. I am so grateful that I still have sisters to have fun, something to laugh together, something to share. I am so grateful that I am the one, as I am the oldest, that bought the tickets for them and my mom. Yes, folks, money brings happiness, if you spend them wisely, or if you consider about giving.
Yes, it's happiness. D.
