GIVING YOUR SOUL A RELIEF
I was born and raised in the city of Jakarta, but what I can see from that city are pollution and traffic jam. There are some artificial parks inside the city, of course, but they aren't easily accessible by public transportation especially for ones who live far from the Central or South Jakarta. Jogging Park in Kelapa Gading is not bad, but it's too small to contain even 5% of people living in Kelapa Gading. It is different in Taipei. You can see many parks where you can meet people practicing musical instrument at days and nights, kids learning how to ride a bike, old men and women hanging out with their not-so-grandchild (a dog). In the capital city like Taipei, where all the governmental stuffs are basically held, I'm surprised there lies many larger parks inside where you can do picnic every day! I'm starting to think that having a green area in the city is a human need. People need fresh air, a place to either relax or getting away. Thanks to Taipei, at least ...
